What is VoIP?

VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol, you may have also heard it referred to as IP Telephony, Internet Telephone and Internet Calling. It’s a method of making calls via the internet, which can save companies thousands. The traditional phone element is not a requirement either, as communication is possible without a telephone set.

How does it work?

Your voice is converted into digital information that can be sent and received, as data, via the internet. Your internet connection uses the same wires as a normal landline telephone would. This connection can be used to transmit all kinds of things such as faxes, emails, webpages, and telephone calls.

VoIP also saves costs on internal office calls, even if your users are located around the world, your phones will seamlessly communicate using the internet free of charge.

Benefit from low call charges, free internal phone calls including all the features you would expect from a traditional phone system and more.

The biggest expense you will face as you move to VoIP will be the cost of the hardware and its installation, but we’ve got you covered; we don’t charge you the earth to start putting your calls through the cloud.
