1994

Where it all began

It all started in early 1994 when our Director, David Bushnell, created enable.services. Originally known as Computers in Business, the family-run company's mission was to help users struggling with Windows 1995. David adopted a fundamental belief that business is built on relationships.

1996

Expanding connectivity

As internet dial-up surged in the '90s, we shifted our focus to this growing technology. EnableIT quickly became a trusted provider, expanding across Suffolk and Norfolk to connect homes and businesses with reliable internet phone services.

2005

SugarCRM partnership

As technology evolved after 2000, we recognised the need for a forward-thinking relationship management solution to drive future business success. That’s when we became one of the first UK partners for SugarCRM, a leading open-source customer relationship management system. By 2005, we bought on our first dedicated SugarCRM developer to create tailored, high-performance systems for our growing client base.

2008

enableVoice

As Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) grew in popularity, we dedicated specialised resources to this area of our business, creating enableVoice. Our strong local reputation enabled us to remain a trusted leader in supplying, fitting, and maintaining business phone solutions.

2015

Mautic implementation

Already providing CRM solutions, we saw Email Marketing Automation as a valuable addition to our software offering. Mautic stood out as a customisable, user-friendly solution, making it the perfect fit for our customers. In 2015, we began supplying and tailoring it to meet their needs.

2016

Growing the team

As our portfolio grew, so did our team. By 2016, we reached a milestone, 30 employees, a far cry from our humble beginnings as a three-person team. This growth called for a bigger, more dynamic workspace. It was a bold move, stepping into the largest and most impressive space we had ever occupied, but it perfectly embodied our progress and ambition.

2021

Make.com partnership

As our range of services expanded, we needed a seamless way to integrate with external software like accounting suites and ERP systems. In 2023, we partnered with Make.com to deliver a powerful yet user-friendly solution, ensuring smooth and efficient connections across platforms.

Integration experts

To enhance integrations further, we developed our in-house tool, enableFlow. Built for advanced, customisable connections, enableFlow syncs data seamlessly across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy down to the field level. This streamlines operations, reduces manual work, and creates a more connected digital ecosystem.

EspoCRM Partnership

When we were searching for a new solution to meet the needs of a specific group of clients, EspoCRM turned out to be the perfect fit. It’s a fully customisable CRM that adapts to any business's needs while offering the flexibility our customers love. We teamed up in early 2025 and quickly saw the significant impact it has on business efficiency.

The story continues in 2025. With over 800 companies trusting enable.services with their technological needs, we continue to grow and adapt to new challenges. While we evolve, our mission remains unchanged: empowering businesses with reliable, innovative technology, always delivered with a personal touch.

Our brand story

Where it all started

1994
It all started in 1994 when David Bushnell opened enable.services. Originally named Computers in Business, the company's mission was to help and empower users struggling with Windows 1995.
2000s
As the company moved into the Y2K, enable.services provided solutions that stored and collected increasing amounts of customer data, taking businesses into the new century.
Today
Today, enable.services is partnered with SugarCRM, monday.com, make.com and GoCampaign. With over 40 team members, the family-run company continues to provide easy-to-use, emerging technologies for businesses big and small.

Our Charity of the Year 2025

We’ve decided to choose the MS Society as our Charity of the Year 2025 in support of one of our developers, George, who has recently been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. We’re hoping to raise money for MS research to help improve treatment and work to find a cure.

“While there is treatment for MS there currently isn't a cure. I want to support the research MS Society do so scientists and doctors can eventually prevent MS from occurring”.
