About the company

The Magical Mushroom Company is an ethical packaging production company that uses custom-made moulds to grow packaging out of funghi to replace traditional styrofoam packaging.

Magical Mushroom Company have a complex production process that moves through five distinct phases:

  1. Enquiries
  2. Design
  3. Prototyping
  4. Negotiation
  5. Won

It was crucial that items move through this funnel and, as they do, a rigorous 50-step process was completed. Using monday.com, Magical Mushroom Company track its leads through this flow, melding the duties of sales with production as prototypes are sold and manufactured. Then, the client is offered feedback by the sales person and a further full-production model is produced.

monday.com centralises this process so both teams can work closely together. Not only that, the Magical Mushroom Company recently introduced another production workflow for its US-based team to manage their organisational output on an international level.

What is your role at the Magical Mushroom Company?

“I’m Sarah and my role is head of sales here at Magical Mushroom Company”.

Why did you start utilising monday.com?

“monday.com was already a system we had in place when I first joined the business back in April 2022. It wasn’t yet integrated into everyday use but I found using it was a huge benefit to me to track clients and progress for sales. I like to be extremely organised and monday.com supported me to do just that”.

What painpoints did the business have before monday.com configuration?

“Before monday.com it was difficult to keep track of leads and the pipeline. It has now been maximised for productivity and used across all areas of the business. It is used to track new clients throughout the whole sales pipeline from new leads, meeting held, design and prototyping into ready for negotiation and won orders and that’s just one board we use!”

How does monday.com help your business run?

“We receive a huge volume of interest and new clients onboarding each month and without monday.com and our boards it would be near impossible to track everything that is going on, what is required and visibility of each lead even when the current account manager may not be available. Everything is there in one place including all data files such as invoices, quote files, designs and notes for any meetings held plus so many extra useful data points we require to be efficient. Being a manufacturing business, timing and delivery is everything and monday.com helps us to track this in great detail”.
